We are seeking a dependable Facilities Technician responsible for the safety, maintenance and basic repairs of automated warehouse equipment. As a Facilities Technician, you will carry out daily inspections of the facilities machines and equipment to identify and resolve any issues as they arise. You will perform light-duty/basic repairs, but for complex mechanical issues will work with our network of 3 rd party maintenance providers to address machine down time. To be successful in this role, you must have strong attention to detail and be able to work with a sense of urgency when equipment issues arise.

Creating weekly maintenance and repair schedule
Testing and running automated warehouse equipment
Preventative maintenance and basic repairs on warehouse equipment (Conveying system/shrink-wrap)
Ensure warehouse equipment is safe to use daily
Work with low voltage electricity on equipment panels
Coordinate repairs with outside contractors as needed
1+ years’ experience working with comparable warehouse equipment
Working knowledge of facilities equipment and low voltage electricity required
Strong mechanical aptitude
Good working with tools
Strong computer skills
Ability to frequently lift, stoop with and/or move more than 50lbs

The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the company locations. He/she will ensure that office equipment has appropriate supplies to reduce repair costs and to ensure that equipment operates at optimum levels. The facilities employees will partake in internal moves; arranges relocates furniture and partitions to ensure appropriate use of space.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
General maintenance and repair duties such as, lifting or moving of equipment or furniture, cleanup of work areas, and light grounds maintenance.. Places service repair calls on equipment as needed. Replaces light bulbs, assembles new furniture and equipment, hangs/moves bulletin boards, printers, etc. Assists employees with internal moves; arranges and relocates furniture and partitions to ensure appropriate use of space.
Receiving and distributing samples. Package and create shipments.
Interact with service companies for routine and non–routine maintenance or equipment service.

Education Level: (Required) High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience in maintenance

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
